Niki & Max | Vienna

1. September 2010

Hallo liebe Caringo-Blogleser,

Back2Back Weddings in Tyrol | Sunday | Maria and Klemens

18. August 2010

Here we go, part two of our crazy weekend journey. We left Zillertal after breakfast quite early in the morning – direction Gnadenwald to the wonderful Aplhotel Speckbacherhof. We know the location from last years wedding of Marcela and Alex already so we knew it’s going to be great. Maria got in touch with us due to Marcela’s recommendation in the wedding forum “hochzeit.at”. Btw, thank you Marcela for that :-)

Earlier this year we had the chance to get to meet Maria (and her sweet sister) in Vienna and we were totally excited to shoot this beautiful bride. She told us that she is getting ready in the same suite as Marcela did and that room has a bathtub right in the middle of the sleeping room. Last year we had a tough time schedule so we unfortunately missed this shot. So we told Maria that she need to get at least some minutes so we can have the shot you see above. Carmen and I (Ingo) we saw that picture already in our minds in Vienna and we are very happy that we could made it this time.

Maria and Klemens are one of the most laid-back wedding couple we met so far. They are very religious and they wanted a very intimate wedding, just with family and some friends. Thus they plant everything to happen quite late that day which was good for us and sure for our friends from Ewalis Emotions, because we had enough time to be creative and inspired for the shooting.

Maria and Klemens met each other on a pilgrimage and the priest who was actually with them that day has held the church marriage for them. Not just because of the amazing singer in the church it has been heartbreaking and emotional, also how they behave and treat each other. Maria is just a wonderful bride and she loves Klemens so badly that you could even see “emitting sparks” while day were kissing!

The food at Speckbacherhof was just mouth-watering and we had a wonderful reception with good music and happy dances.

One further thing to mention: Maria just loves to do handcrafts. So imagine that she was doing tons of little things by herself for this day. Get this one: she unwrapped the top wrapping of 1000!! “Milka Naps” just to wrap it again with here own cover which had the date and a picture of them both. When we first saw these naps we where like “see what the wedding industry produces nowadays? :-) Maria, you rock!

Back2Back Weddings in Tyrol | Saturday | Karin and Andreas

17. August 2010

e279b2d.jpeg

We had a crazy schedule for the last weekend. We left for Tyrol on Friday to shoot our first weekend ever with two different weddings. We had done this a few years ago but shooting a friends civil and church marriage at two days on one weekend. We had now worries that this is going to be exhausting but we were all excited about it. Karin and Andreas have been asking us indefatigably if we could shoot their wedding too and since we had to prefer Maria and Klemens due to earlier booking we were happy to could manage it all. The Sunday wedding was starting not too early in the morning and the locations are very close to each other. So we went for it.

We met Karin and Andreas quite early on Saturday morning. They are such a nice and harmonious couple and we immediately felt comfortable although we never met before. The shooting time was very relaxed and we have been in Kramsach again to shoot the couple in the Tyrolean Barnyard Museum which we already knew from previews shootings.
Although the last shooting at this location wasn’t too long ago (May 2010), we tried not to have the same results or copy images and poses. Rather we wanted to give the couple unique photos of their day. And if you compare the too shootings you got to say that we did not too bad on this one :-)

The civil marriage as well as the church wedding was both very emotional and beautiful. We all were lucky that we hit the reception location in Fügenberg before the rain started. The guy who might have been the happiest was the driver of the gorgeous 1934 BMW which was a totally great wedding vehicle and it would not have been so special if they could not use it top less.

The reception at Hotel Schiestl in Zillertal was well organized and everybody enjoyed the delicious food and awesome service. It’s a huge hotel and thus there have been a lot of onlookers :-)

Before we hit the bed after the long day we were excited to shoot an amazing firework and also show off a few pictures of the day on our Ipad.

[CF] Caringo Fusion | Fynn’s Baptism

10. August 2010

[CF] Caringo Fusion | Fynn’s Baptism from Caringo PhotografiX on Vimeo.

Here we go: The worlds first Baptism Caringo Fusion of the very sweet little Fynn. You may have seen Fynn before in some Photos and in another Fusion we did last year. In July we have been in Villach for a rarly happening Family and Friends weekend and one of the things to shoot was the Baptism of Ines’ and Mario’s little boy. He is just so cute that we could not resist to not just do some Photos, but also capture some real moments. Additionally Carmen was acting as godmother and we knew she will play on the parents heart strings quite a bit with her letter to Fynn.

It was a real great weekend and we again wish Fynn all the best in his life and may he stay as cute as he is now :-)

Love Aunt Carmen and Ingo

Some Information about our TATW

8. August 2010

tatw

Hello Caringo Friends out there.

People keep asking us about our upcoming six month trip around the world (TATW). So we thought it would be cool to share some ideas and information with you rather than telling everybody the same story via facebook comments ;-)

Generally:
First thing you may notice, we are blogging in English. We did a survey recently to ask whether you would prefer English or German language here on the blog. The result was clear: you want us to do both ;-) . well, truth to be told, even it was available to choose in the survey, that’s too much writing work right now for us as we are still having a seven day work week both of us. But we definitely will be blogging in English now and then, especially if we think it might interest not only German speaking friends. But if we are writing in German, feel free to ask Google to translate it for you and as bad as this Google service is, you probably will get the idea of the post.

The Idea:
The idea of a TATW is not new to us and sure not to you. Friends and thousands of people around the globe have done it. There is just one thing about it: you need to actually do it and not just talk about it yourself.
Carmen and I (Ingo) we love travelling and before we even met each other we were thinking about doing a big trip once in our life’s. Both of us are turning 30 this year and we still have no kids to take care of. As we are not getting younger for sure, kids may be a topic in the near future (define “near future”: 5 years min :-)

By the end of 2009 and due to Carmen’s study plans we started to closer think about a six month off by the end of the 2010 wedding season, and here we go!

The Route:
Most of you have heard about the “Ticket around the World” which every big Airline Group offers. We choose Staralliance to have only well known airlines, at least for the main flights. They call it Book and Fly . We have already booked 4 stops and 26000 Miles for each of us and we are just about to add another stop (LA/CA).

We are starting here in Munich on 7th of October 2010 and we will be flying to Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) as our first stop. Plans are mend to change a lot, but here is a list of countries we want to travel in the first 3 month:

  • Vietnam
  • Laos
  • Cambodia
  • Thailand
  • Malaysia
  • Indonesia

Short after New Year we are heading to Australia and starting in Brisbane for a one month Australia trip. So far we have plans to stay mainly at the east coast and road tripping down to Sydney and Melbourne and back. Side note: if you want us to shoot your, either a wedding or a portrait session, please let us know, we would love to! :-)

Next Stop: New Zealand… No Plans yet, but we will let you know if we know more :-)

By the end of February we are flying to USA. Right now we are thinking of an additional stop in California, to meet our friends Mike and Rachel before we are heading further to Miami/FL to see Angie and Herbert.

One really BIG and always wanted to DO THING will be the end of our trip in March 2011: Photoshop World in Orlando/FL 2011. Just recently chatted with Matt Kloskowski about the visit of the Kelby Media HQ in Tampa/FL next year, as he told us rather to go to PSW at this time. Absolutly!! Photoshop World is one of the best and biggest photography (not just photoshop) events throughout the year, where you can meet the TOP photogs of the world. Scott Kelby, Matt Kloskowski, Joe McNally, Jay Maisel, Zach Arias, Moose Peterson you name it.

We are totally looking forward to this trip but still a while to go and for sure lots of work to do. If anyone of you have recommendations or tips for us, we are very thankful if you just leave a comment here. Ohyea btw, if anyone out there needs a cool flat from October 2010 to March 2011 let us know too.
Take care
Carmen and Ingoman

PS: Side note: We are not out of world, we will be answering all emails and working a lot during our trip. Additionally we are blogging, facebooking and tweeting whenever we have access to the internet.

A Friends Alp Wedding | Nicole and Torben | Chiemgau

4. August 2010

[CF] Caringo Fusion – Ute & Markus | Gurktal

29. July 2010

Scott Kelby features WWPW Ewalis Emotions Video

27. July 2010

scottblog_klein

“It was shot with a Canon 7d, and the quality of the video, quality of camera work, and editing is just really fantastic. I was so impressed!!!!

Anyway, waht this video first, and then take a look at some of these wonderful group shots from all over…”
